Manoir St. Pierre Inc. was approved by Canada Summer Jobs to hire one kitchen helper/grounds maintenance labourer for the summer months to help us with the operations of our building.
About the role:
- Must be a registered student between the ages of 15-30
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Have a valid SIN number at the time of employment
- Part-time, between 30-35 hours weekly.
- Experience and qualifications will determine hourly wage.
We are a bilingual facility, so the ability to communicate in both official languages is considered an asset.
Ideal candidate:
- Self-motivated
- Possesses a driver’s license and means of transportation
- Experienced in working in a kitchen and general grounds maintenance or demonstrates an aptitude and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities for Summer Help:
- Report every morning for a breakdown of the day.
- Tasks will be delegated on an as-needed basis, and candidate will receive sufficient training and supervision in all aspects of work.
Kitchen helper
- Dishwasher
- Washing tables/floors
- Assisting with meals and meal service/delivery
- Organizing pantry, shelves
- Assisting Cook as directed
- Interacting with tenants and staff
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to interact with seniors
Grounds Maintenance Labourer
- Lawn Care.
- Tending to Planters.
- Carpet Cleaning in Halls and Common Areas.
- Eavestrough Maintenance.
- Maintaining the Parking Lot and Garage as needed.
- Clean off and stain/repaint outdoor benches as needed.
- Touch up the railings where they begin to show wear.
- Cleaning Exterior windows.
- Cleaning Hallway lights and fans.
- Assisting the Maintenance and Cleaning staff as needed.
- Keeping entrances clear of debris.
