Summary:
  • Ensures compliance to established standards of labelling/marketing materials for products marketed by IVC-Vita Health in Canada
  • Ensures French translations of regulatory documentation are accurate
  • Assists in the review and approval of product labelling.  Responsible for proof reading and translation of scientific and general documentation from English to French
Responsibilities:
  • Reviews and proofreads label artworks being circulated for review.  Ensures that all French text is compliant with the English and with the Label Master. Reviews French text for accuracy and spelling
  • Translates master regulatory label text, product monographs and promotional materials from English to French
  • Assesses compliance to established standards and accuracy of existing French translations of Regulatory documentation
  • Assesses language accuracy of advertising materials and provides approval
  • Maintains phrase library and internal guidance for French standards
  • Maintains regulatory trackers, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate
Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience

Education, Certification, Licenses & Registrations:
  • Bachelor degree level of education, or equivalent work experience

  • Superior attention to detail and the ability to stay focused throughout an entire document, which may be long and technical
  • Sound proofreading skills, and a thorough knowledge of grammar and punctuation in French and English

  • Strong time management and priority setting skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Experience creating and maintaining electronic documents, preferably using Microsoft Office

 

Physical Demands:
  • Manual dexterity
  • Prolonged sitting, walking short distances
  • Extended hours in front of a computer screen and working on a computer keyboard
  • Extended hours reviewing artwork, often with small print size
  • Visual acuity (proofreading)

Work environment may occasionally be exposed to powders, chemicals and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish)
