Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen, prepare quality meals consistently, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare and cook meals according to menu and daily requirements
– Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation standards are met
– Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
– Follow proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures
– Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
– Receive and properly store deliveries
– Assist with menu planning when required
– Perform opening and closing kitchen duties
– Work independently and as part of a team to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications & Skills:
– Previous experience as a cook required
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
– Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
– Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
– Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting moderate loads
– Food safety certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain)
